back

JUN 3-30, 2020

The Annual Visual and Performing Arts Academy Juried Art Show is an exhibition of student work, juried by local artists and art professionals. This competitive show celebrates a large body of current VPAA talent, including awards for exceptional artworks in the categories of 2-Dimensional, 3-Dimensional and Digital Media. This show began in 2005 and has been exhibited at Virginia MOCA each year since 2006. As both the museum and the academy grown, we have remained close Partners in Education supporting the ability of young artists in our community. This years’ volunteer jurors were Cody Long, Museum Educator for Curriculum and School Programs for the Chrysler Museum, and Katherine Custer, Manager of School and Educator Programs for the Virginia Museum of Contemporary Art.
