Join exhibiting artist Julie Heffernan for a Master Class inspired by her artistic viewpoint. Heffernan creates intricate allegorical painting of surreal natural landscapes, often including figures and objects which represent herself.
In this workshop, Heffernan will lead participants in creating their own self-portrait incorporating a background image and an item that holds personal meaning. Students are asked to bring a self-portrait reference image to the workshop. The image must be taken before the workshop and be printed for reference. Registered students will be sent an example self-portrait for clarification. Participants may bring their choice of oils or acrylics and brushes. Canvases will be provided.
