Watercolor: Process on Paper
ADULTS
One session
Instructor: Isa Monell
Spend the day relaxing with watercolor, journaling, and imagination as you learn introductory watercolor painting techniques and experiment with the dynamics of blending colors. Discover how journaling and process art may assist in sifting through the weight of life’s experiences, and engage with the capacity of color to influence the emotional power of a particular work of art.
All materials provided. Students will leave this class with their own watercolor-grade sketchbook and watercolor paint set.
There will be a 30-minute lunch break, so please bring along a bagged lunch.

MEET YOUR INSTRUCTOR
Isa Monell is a freelance illustrator and designer based out of Virginia Beach, VA. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Studio Art from Old Dominion University and is currently pursuing her Master of Arts in Illustration from Savannah College of Art and Design. Bouncing between digital illustration and watercolor painting, her work is largely inspired by nature and color. Monell frequently participates in regional art markets. Her work can be found in artisan boutiques across Hampton roads.
Mask wearing inside the studios is encouraged, and masks may be required at the discretion of the instructor.
