Inspired by Made in VA Biennial 2026, Virginia MOCA and Batten University come together for an evening celebrating Virginia’s creativity through art and music. Student musicians from Batten University’s Vox Vera and Marlin Jazz Ensemble will perform selections by influential Virginia musicians and composers, including Ella Fitzgerald, Frank Foster, Charlie Byrd, and Tommy Newsom.

Performances will take place throughout the Museum, inviting guests to experience live music as they explore Made in VA and discover connections between Virginia’s contemporary art and musical history.

Made in VA Biennial 2026

What began as an annual tradition has grown into one of the Museum's most anticipated and defining programs. Now presented in Virginia MOCA's new purpose-built home, the Made in VA Biennial enters its next chapter. Featuring work created within the past two years, the exhibition reflects the breadth, rigor, and vitality of contemporary art in Virginia today.
