LOOKING TO LEARN: ART & STORYTIME
Sunday, August 29, 2021
Children ages 3 - 8 and their caregivers are invited to join us each month as we look, learn, and make, in response to themes from our current exhibitions. This live streamed program for families will include close-looking at artwork, reading of a storybook, and a making activity inspired by the theme.
Looking to Learn encourages valuable social emotional skills that help children ages 3 - 8 build and develop greater empathy, understanding, and respect for their peers and community.
Reserve your FREE Museum admission ticket for August 29 to attend!
Join us at the Museum on Sunday, August 29th at 10am for a special in-person Looking to Learn program! We will be looking at La Mujer Moderna by Helen Criales, from our exhibition Amplify, and reading the book Saturday, by Oge Mora, with Lynn Jacobs from the Virginia Beach Public Library. For our making activity, caretakers and kiddos will work together to make paper bag puppets.
Masks are required for all in-person youth programming. Our staff will also be required to wear masks while interacting with our young visitors.
