LOOKING TO LEARN: ART & STORYTIME¬
Join us each month as we look, learn, and make in response to themes from our current exhibitions. This virtual family program will include close-looking at artwork, reading of a storybook, and a making activity inspired by the theme. Looking to Learn encourages valuable social emotional skills that help children ages 3–8 build and develop greater empathy, understanding and respect for their peers and community.
This month we will look at Maya Lin’s Imaginary Iceberg, read the book The Fog by Kyo Maclear, and create our own field journals as we discuss the value of observation.
Art Kit Pickup: We are offering free art kits for the June program, available for pick-up on a first come-first served basis. Kits may be picked up from Thursday, June 16th through Saturday, June 25th at the welcome desk during operating hours only. Art kits are limited and available only while supplies last. Proof of registration is required at pick-up.
