In this one-day workshop, you’ll be inspired by the use of metallic materials in the art throughout our galleries while learning the basics of fusing glass. Under the guidance of an experienced instructor, you’ll explore techniques for cutting, arranging, and slumping glass in a mold. By the end of the workshop, participants will have created a 5×5 plate ready to be fused in the kiln and perfect for use as a trinket dish!

Along the way, we’ll discuss the importance of material compatibility during the fusing process, as well as the creative possibilities of incorporating iridescent and dichroic glass into your studio practice.

All materials are provided, and no prior experience is necessary. Finished artworks will be fired in a glass kiln after the workshop, and participants will be contacted when their custom glass artwork is ready for pickup.
