Get inspired by the art in our galleries and work with a teaching artist to create functional and sculptural ceramic objects with a focus on form and pattern. Together, we’ll develop hand-building and wheel-throwing skills and use these practices to create our own collection of patterned forms like plates, platters, and vessels.

This program will include group discussion, guided practice, and independent studio time. All materials, including one 25-pound bag of clay per student are provided. Works created during this class will be kiln- and glaze-fired. Students will be contacted by the Museum for later pickup of finished artworks.

Level: Beginner–Intermediate
Thursdays, September 26–November 7 (skip October 31)
