Get inspired by the art in our galleries, and learn to create your very own wheel-thrown ceramic form! 

Together, we’ll practice the fundamentals of wheel throwing, including how to wedge clay, center it on the wheel, and pull and shape the walls of a simple vessel. Along the way, we’ll troubleshoot common challenges and help you gain confidence with the tools and processes.

This hands-on workshop is designed for adults with little or no pottery experience. Whether you’re trying ceramics for the first time or looking to refresh your skills, this welcoming workshop offers a fun and creative introduction to the art of wheel throwing.

No prior experience is required, and all supplies are provided. Works created during this class will be glazed and kiln-fired. Students will be contacted by the Museum when their finished artwork is ready for pickup.
