MOCA welcomes artist Inka Essenhigh for an artist talk and Q&A in conjunction with Inka Essenhigh a Fine line. Essenhigh creates surreal, atmospheric, dreamlike paintings inspired by contemporary culture and her environment. She gained early renown through her use of enamels and a process that included the use of automatic drawing to find her subject matter. Her evolution led her back into traditional oils and experiments in printmaking. Join Essenhigh for this exclusive public conversation about her work and unique artistic process. She will also be signing copies of her monograph.

Inka Essenhigh has been exhibiting for the past two decades. She has just completed a commissioned mural for The Drawing Center in New York and she has been in shows such as "Comic Abstraction" Museum of Modern Art in New York, "USA Today" at the Royal Academy of Arts in London, 2nd Berlin Biennale in Berlin Germany, SITE Santa Fe Biennial in Santa Fe New Mexico and the Bienal de Sao Paulo, Sao Paulo, Brazil.
