Join us on February 24, from 7-10 p.m. for the 21st annual Wine by Design, a fundraising event that supports MOCA’s art education programs. The 2012 event, Warhol and Wine, will be the perfect intro to MOCA’s highly anticipated exhibition, Andy Warhol: Portraits, opening in late May. Expect an evening with a celebrity vibe, and have your portrait created in true Warhol style. Come prepared to party and enjoy fabulous food by local chefs, try a variety of palate pleasing wines, and enjoy our fabulous silent auction. Plus, enjoy craft beer from Charlottesville's STARR HILL brewery and meet brewmaster Mark Thompson, who will be pouring all night! 

The party doesn't stop at MOCA--there will be an after-party at Catch 31 starting at 10pm! The Hilton is also offering room packages: $269 per couple and will include room, two tickets to WBD, breakfast for two and free shuttle to and from the event. Guests can call the Hilton now to make their reservation (757) 213-3000 and the reference code is SRP. 

Monies generated from ticket sales help MOCA offer its Student Art Start program at greatly reduced costs to visiting classrooms and other school groups and allows us to provide free programs to a certain number of underserved youth.  During the 2010-2011 school year, MOCA provided critical art education through its various educational programs to nearly 30,000 students. Your support of Wine by Design helps the museum fill an ever-increasing gap created by public school funding cuts; your support also is an investment in innovative, creative thinking young people!
