Sun, May 22 - 2pm: Q&A with Co-Founders of Hi-Fructose
To conceive and create a high quality art magazine is a considerable undertaking. To nurture your publication until it becomes a best-seller is an incredible accomplishment. Independent publishers, Daniel Seifert (aka Attaboy) and Annie Owens-Seifert are artists and designers who saw a need for an art magazine that celebrated diverse art that transcended genres. So, they made one.
As part of the opening weekend for the exhibition, Turn the Page: The First Ten Years of Hi-Fructose Magazine, Owens and Seifert will sit down for a live and in-person Q&A session with Virginia MOCA Curator, Heather Hakimzadeh.
In advance of this event, MOCA will solicit your questions via social media. Feel free to post whatever question you want to know about starting and running an art magazine and working with these fascinating artists on this event page.
FREE with museum admission. MOCA members FREE.
