Book drive to benefit REACH
MOCA Children's Book Drive
Drawing inspiration from exhibiting artist Brian Dettmer's love of books, MOCA is hosting a children's book drive during the summer to benefit REACH in Hampton Roads. Bring a new or gently used children's book (or books!) to donate to and receive $2 off one full-price admission (value $7.70). One discount per person. Offer valid May 31-August 16 on standard admission only--other ticketed events are not included.
REACH is a volunteer organization that supports the literacy needs of homeless and at-risk children living in shelters throughout the South Hampton Roads community in Virginia. Through the Shelter Read Aloud Program, volunteers spend time with the children in shelters reading and doing a support activity. The REACH Read Aloud program now serves twelve area homeless and domestic violence family shelters in all of the cities of Southside Hampton Roads.
